A subscription license: 

  • provides customers with a pay-as-you-go license to access and use the software for a defined pre-paid period
  • is nonexclusive, royalty-free, and non-transferable
  • includes all software updates, upgrades, and 24/7 email technical support  
  • allows customers to run a website on any number of servers or cloud instances at no additional cost

All subscription licenses, by default, support auto-scaling, which means there are no limitations on the number of web farms servers or cloud instances. The supported website(s) environment will be able to dynamically scale to accommodate increased site traffic and performance demands without any additional licensing requirements.

If a subscription license expires, there is a 30-day grace period during which the license is still fully operational. After the grace period, Kentico Xperience will stop working, and the website will no longer be accessible online.

Yes, the subscription license includes source code access to the web project and administration interface; but does not include the full software source code. The web project and administration interface source code are all that is necessary for typical development and common use of Kentico Xperience.

Customers can create flexible and dynamic websites without the need to modify the full software source code, however the full software source code of all libraries and controls can be purchased for an additional fee. This is suitable for customers who need to make advanced modifications in core CMS libraries for deep customizations/extensions. 

Yes, we provide a 30-day money-back, no questions asked guarantee. If you are not satisfied with our product, send a message to refund@kentico.com. The money-back guarantee applies only to Business licenses without source code.
Yes, customers can purchase an upgrade at any time, and will receive a license credit based on the license credit schedule. To upgrade an existing license, please contact our sales team at sales@kentico.com.
Customers are free to cancel a subscription license at any time. We do not offer any refunds on subscriptions that are canceled prematurely. Should a customer choose to cancel a subscription prematurely, it will terminate at the end of the then-current billing period.

Customers with a subscription license receive maintenance included with their subscription free of charge for the duration of the subscription.

The maintenance agreement provides access to software updates and upgrades for the duration of the active maintenance term, plus next-business-day email technical support.

Subscription maintenance agreements can be renewed by a member of sales at sales@kentico.com
Customers will receive a series of email reminders related to any upcoming maintenance renewals.
Subscriptions must be renewed on time, otherwise the subscription key will be deactivated 30 days from the date of expiration and your project will no longer be accessible for public or internal use.

Please note that a manual step may be required from you after the subscription is renewed. For projects running on Kentico Xperience version 12, you will need to update your license key in Kentico Xperience manually, please visit the Using License Keys section in the Client Portal Guide. For projects running on Kentico Xperience version 13 and above, license keys are updated automatically.
Global next-business-day email technical support from our teams across Europe, the United States, and Australia is included with all active maintenance agreements and active subscription licenses. 
Yes, the Kentico Developer Network (DevNet) is publicly available and open to everyone, no matter what edition or license is purchased. We encourage customers to connect with like-minded individuals and to leverage extensive documentation, downloads, latest news, and much more.  

Yes, we offer a Premium Support option, which is intended for customers running mission-critical websites. This support option provides a higher level Service Level Agreement (SLA) that specifies guaranteed response and resolution times.

Yes, Kentico provides functionality that facilitates compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). For more information, see the GDPR compliance overview, and the Working with cookies page.

  • Customers in the European Union may be charged with Value-Added Tax (VAT), depending on the EU country the customer is located in, on top of the listed price. 

  • Customers in Australia, India, New Zealand, and Singapore are always charged with the Goods and Services Tax (GST) on top of the listed price. 

  • Customers in Belarus, Iceland, Norway, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Switzerland, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates are always charged with VAT on top of the listed price. 

  • Customers in Japan will be charged with a Consumption Tax on top of the listed price. 

  • Customers in Taiwan will be charged a sales tax on top of the listed price. 

  • Customers in Quebec (Canada) will be charged with a Quebec Sales Tax (QST) on top of the listed price. 

When purchasing directly from Kentico (by wire transfer or check), we will inform you about applicable taxes.

For avoidance of doubt, customers in Malaysia, Indonesia and India are always charged with Withholding Tax or its country equivalent on top of the publicly listed prices when purchasing directly from Kentico by wire transfer.

Yes, Kentico Xperience is only available for purchase in the currency of your region. We do not accept payment in currencies other than those stated in the table below.
