Scalable solution running on Azure
La Lorraine group wanted to completely redesign the website landscape of the Panos brand, replace the outdated technologies, and consolidate multiple digital endeavors into a single web solution.
The main challenges were to follow appropriately the current brand strategy and integrate the website with third-party systems. The scope of the project was Europe-wide with overseas outreach.
Key criteria for choosing Kentico were:
- Costs versus features ratio
- Out-of-the-box functionality
- Ability to manage multiple websites through one application instance.
ACTUM delivered a solution built with early adoption of Kentico MVC architecture providing the world-class performance and high-end web stack. Reflecting the scope of the project, scalable architecture design was created in alignment with the best practices of Microsoft Azure and infrastructure built on the Azure PaaS approach. Thanks to thorough initial research, no scaling was needed in operation and La Lorraine was able to split infrastructure costs between multiple instances of Kentico.
Using Azure in PaaS mode has allowed ACTUM to save on resources connected with deployment and continuous integration. They have spent less effort on any geolocation scaling and avoided hassles with security patches.
La Lorraine received a complete digital relaunch of the Panos product catalog with technological enablers for future e-commerce solutions. Content editors were provided with easy-to-use administration. Multiple websites were integrated into a unified experience for local users matching the current brand strategy.
