Matej plays a crucial role in shaping the roadmap and overall strategy of Kentico Xperience DXP, collaborating closely with Marketing and Sales to ensure clarity and market relevance. Under his leadership, Kentico has significantly improved the articulation of its vision and strategy, with exciting plans still ahead.
Before joining Kentico in 2021, Matej built a strong background in digital experience and enterprise commerce, working with companies like NetSuite, SolarWinds, and Y Soft. His passion for content management started in university while working on open-source solutions, making Kentico a natural fit for his expertise and enthusiasm.

Why I love Kentico
I have gone through many companies but Kentico is by far the best. Nobody here is lacking in the responsibility, team spirit, or accountability. Here, we work as one single unit composed of many parts. Yes, the team is young and, as a consequence, sometimes a little unpolished, but I will always choose team spirit over cold, clinical professionalism that can bring its own troubles to the table. I can rely on my colleagues: they are experts in their areas, transparent and honest people, and there isn’t an egoist among them. But I also really love the product. I think that Kentico has located the sweet spot of the digital experience and content management market so I think that even greater things lie before us.
My job at Kentico
I'm responsible for the roadmap and overall strategy for our digital experience platform. I follow the latest developments in the market, what Gartner and Forrester analysts have to say, and what our partners are telling us, and my job is to figure out if we have all the important areas covered with our product or whether we need to react to these insights. I also cooperate with Marketing and Sales on the positioning and messaging of Kentico Xperience DXP. Together with my team, we've managed to improve the articulation of our vision, strategy, and product news. It's already so much better than it used to be. And that's just the beginning. We have an ambitious plan, just wait for it!
My journey
I have worked at Kentico since 2021. But my passion for content management goes back much longer than that. At university, I worked on open source solutions and I was then employed as a Product Manager for enterprise commerce products such as NetSuite, SolarWinds, and AirBank. I've got 15 years of experience in both product management and solution architecture, and Kentico has given me a great opportunity to go back to my roots and indulge my passion for content management.
