But first, who is G2?
G2.com is a peer-to-peer review site that helps users choose the right software and services for their business, based on authentic, timely reviews from real users. Impartiality is their top priority.
Based on the reviews it gathers from its community, as well as data aggregated from online sources and social networks, G2 scores products and vendors on what it calls The Grid®, “the democratic voice of real software users”, which provides benchmarks for product comparison and market trend analysis. Software vendors, like us, are ranked based on a combination of their scores in Satisfaction and Market Presence. This fall’s Grid® Report for Digital Experience Platforms (DXP) is based on a snapshot of reviews and data collected through August 30, 2022.
What does G2 say about DXPs?
G2 defines digital experience platforms as being “composed of an integrated set of core technologies that support the creation, management, and delivery of omnichannel digital experiences”.
They go on to say that they are chiefly used by marketers to leverage customer data in order to improve the steps of the customer journey, and that the “deep feature set of DXPs allows marketers to orchestrate personalized experiences across multiple channels and touchpoints”.
To qualify for inclusion in the DXP category, a product must:
- Provide content management and media storage capabilities
- Facilitate the rapid development of websites, portals, or applications
- Connect customer data with digital media through the use of APIs
- Allow for personalization of digital content through the use of customer data
- Provide analytics tool to measure content performance and user experience

As mentioned, the G2 Grid® Report for DXP is built on Satisfaction and Market Presence scores (based on real, verified customer reviews). So, we’re thrilled that we were placed among the Leaders in the DXP market, which means Kentico is ranked highly among users on G2.
Kentico earned an impressive score of 84 for Satisfaction and 69 for Market Presence to rank among the top DXPs on the market.
