6/5/2008 - Kentico CMS 3.1 Released
The new version comes with improved E-commerce module, new Messaging module and support for easy synchronization between development and live web site.
We have just released Kentico CMS 3.1. The new version comes with several new features and improvements:
E-commerce Edition
Kentico CMS is now available in a new E-commerce Edition. This edition starts from $749 and comes with feature set typically used by commerce web sites. We've made many improvements to the E-commerce module so that you can easily build on-line stores:
- The E-commerce module now supports product options, such as "t-shirt colors" or "memory size" allowing the visitors to configure the purchased product.
- New E-commerce Starter Site allows you to quickly build your own on-line store.
- New E-commerce Guide will help you learn how to build on-line stores with Kentico CMS.
Incremental Deployment
The import/export interface now allows you to export only objects (page templates, document types, web parts, stylesheets, etc.) that were modified since the specified date. If you deploy the web site on the live site and then make changes to your development version of the site, you can easily export these changes and apply them to the live site.
Object Staging - Easy Synchronization Between Development and Live Web Site
The Content Staging module was enhanced with support for object staging. It means that you can easily preview the changes you made to the page template, web parts, etc. and then synchronize them with the live site just by clicking a button.
New Messaging Module
The new Messaging module allows you to integrate private messaging between members of your community sites.
